At the foot of the mountains of Avarice one can find the entrance to what was once a mine of great wealth and is now known as Dungeon Covetous. The entrance is lined with fire pits and a winding curve full of harpies as soon as you enter the dark cavern. The Harpy Lair.

You'll quickly learn this cave is filled with a rapid spawning of harpies and to the solo adventurer can become quickly outnumbered unless you are capable of defending yourself against a healthy flock of harpies and the occasional Stone Harpy around the third bend of the cave and the Undead start spawning near the first straight path into the dungeon.

Watch out for foot traps and prepare for Gazers, lots of them as they spawn in the Gazer Lair at Western part of the first cave of Covetous. Depending on if you make it past the gazers or not you'll enter the Corpser Lair which is just before the passage to the entrance to level 2.

The second level of Covetous is very similar to the first. Lots of harpies and the same inhabitants. Be careful if running out of this level if you are low on hit points as there is usually a horde of skeletons waiting just outside this part of the dungeon.

Passage to Level 1
To Level 3

"Beware all ya who enter these halls" is what the huge statues will say as a definite warning to the Undead terror that lurk just ahead. This level of the dungeon is nothing like the others, thus far. This is where the powerful Liches are waiting out eternity. From the looks of this place it was once part of a small underground castle, a throne room now filled with liches and powerful undead, as well as dining areas and a temple.

Passage to Level 2 Level 4 Level 5

This must have been a torture chamber or prison. It's clearly haunted by a never ending spawn of mummies, wraithes, etc... your typical undead spawns. At the end of the tunnel you will find a room with a guillotine and the Iron Maiden.

Stairs to Level 3
1. Iron Maiden

Level 5 of Covetous is a large cavern inhabited by Drakes and Dragons. The stairs lead down into a squared off fort around them and the drakes and dragons are not hard to find once you enter. Usually not crowded and a great place to reach. Good hunting.
